It doesn't happen every day around here, thats for sure. Its mostly gone now - but I was able to plop the boy down in it before it all melted. I don't think he was all that impressed.

We're homeowners again!

Almost six years to the day from buying our first house, we bought a house in Bandon. Guess this means we're staying huh? lol
Things I love about living in a house over living in an apartment:
*being able to crank the stereo as loud as we want
*parking spots for everyone!
*not having to worry about how hard I close a door or cabinet.
*not having to worry about how late I do a load of laundry
*being able to paint and change whatever I want!
*not hearing everyone else slam their doors and cabinets
*loving the woodstove
*Luke gets his own room, visitors don't have to bunk with him anymore :)
*Freestanding one car garage that will be a studio/office some day.
*Fenced yard for the wieners to run around in
Things I will miss about the apartment:
*Now we are in charge of the landscaping
*now all those little repairs are our responsibility
*the cheap rent!! lol
*the insultation!
*the updated kitchen with granite countertops
*It was the home we brought Luke to from the hospital :(
Overall we are in love - it was a long road to getting the deal done, with many many hiccups along the way, including at the signing at the very last second!! But its ours now! Welcoming visitors as always!

A beautiful December day on the coast
It was odd weather here in Bandon yesterday, warm, no wind... in December! Luke was a crabby monster all day, so we decided to go for a walk. We cruised downtown, bought some books at Winter River, and then went and hung out on the Waterfront. I don't know what this is called, but I love it!
There are tons of little treaures buried in the cement in the swirl for little ones to look for. Hearts, swirls. glass marbles... I can't wait for Luke to be old enough to enjoy this.
We all enjoyed the fresh air.

Meeting Santa!
I had a little different photo session today. I actually got to bring Luke! The "mom" is a family friend, and she wanted to hold Luke while I shot the Senior, a foreign exchange student from France.On our walk through Bandon, we came upon Santa, Mrs Claus and the 2010 Cranberry Queen arriving on the Prowler Charter boat!

The line was long to meet Santa right away, but luckily we ran into the pair a little later on in town.
