I am often asked about what time of year is my favorite on the Oregon Coast. Of course, I love every month in it's own way - January is usually pretty beautiful, I love a suprise dusting of snow in March, a good old fashioned Oregon Coast storm in November - but really? September has to be it for me. All the pieces of the puzzle seem to fall together - the valley cools off, so the fog stays away; the howling winds of July take a break and the temperatures hover near 70. In my experience September on the Southern Oregon Coast is darn near perfect - and it didn't let us down for Sara and Jay's waterfront wedding.
Sara and Jay lived in this adorable little house - one of a cluster that share a beautiful back yard on the Coquille River, with a perfect view of the lighthouse.
First look!
This is one of my favorites ever! I love the river, the pine tree the red of the wood - and her gorgeous hair... and of course the *real* smile. <3
Yes, I am on the roof for this shot. Whatever it takes!!
Such a fantastic way to spend a September Saturday. Thank you both for allowing me to capture it for you.
