Another Oregon Coast Destination wedding. I love the fact that I live in a place that people want to come to as a destination. It's been a spectacular Summer, and I have met so many people from all over the world. I love our little neck of the woods and I am so happy so many are discovering it every day! Mollie and Tobin discovered our area after visiting from Portland (and after moving from Iowa!) and knew this was the place they needed to have their family and friends be when they committed themselves to each other.
The location was the spectacular Langlois Mountain Retreat. It was my first visit to the retreat, and I really hope not my last. Created out of an 1800′s post office/hotel, this historic site later housed the world renown Millard Boys Academy of the 1950′s and 60′s. Langlois Mountain Retreat rests at 1200 feet, overlooking the scenic Oregon Coast. There are six buildings with room for a lot of people, making this a perfect location for a week-long celebration for the whole family!
The view from any side of the LMR is spectacular.
The couple exchanged their vows at the field at the top of the retreat with their family and friends circled around them.
They also gave their son a ring to commemorate their joining, and he was very proud to have it.
I love when we can get a shot with every guest! Even the dogs!
And what wedding with a fire-pit is complete without smores??
It was a WET start to our Summer this year, but the rain held off until the bitter end, but they still made the best of it!
The cupcakes from Bandon Baking Company were a sweet and tasty way to wrap up the day. And a big thanks to Inn at Face Rock for helping them out with their chair needs :)
