It was one of those evenings on the central Oregon coast, when the light is perfect - and the fog is waiting to pounce just offshore. Brian and Monica chose Yachats for their destination wedding, coming in this day from St Louis Missouri. The couple and their daughters dressed in their wedding day attire to use our hour together to get the family formal and couples portraits out of the way, so they wouldn't be pulled away from their guests at all on the wedding day itself. We started at their rental house, where the wedding would be, just a couple days later.
We headed South to the Heceta Head Lighthouse for more portraits. It's quite the hike to the top of the hill!
The girls were troopers! I'm completely acclimated to the cool Summer temperatures on the Oregon Coast. They however, had just come from 100+ degrees! They were chilled to the bone for sure!
No funny photo editing going on in this last shot either - the way the setting sun was going through the fog made for beautiful colored skies!
More from their beautiful wedding on the way!
