They say rain on your wedding day is good luck - let's hope that's true - because if it is, 2011 will be a VERY lucky year for a lot of couples out there!! Jenn and Matt got married at the end of June at Shore Acres State Park. The house and the gazebo made for perfect cover from the less than ideal weather conditions.
Jenn relaxed considerably after having their "first look" and seeing Matt. Their whole wedding party was so happy and positive about the rain that they both threw themselves into and "owned it!"
I mean really! What if they didn't get a chance to use those adorable umbrellas! That would have been a shame indeed! :)
I may have misspoke when I told Jenn that you wouldn't even see the rain in the pictures...lol
Everyone fit nicely under the Gazebo!
Thankfully I shoot with a weather-proof camera, so I didn't have to worry about the raindrops pouring down on me. My hair didn't fare as well - but I always tell my brides that no one cares what my hair looks like at a wedding. :)
MARRIED!!!
The cake and cupcakes from The Mill Bakery were wonderful and beautiful!
As if we didn't have enough fun in the rain, after we left the reception we headed to downtown Coos Bay to take couples portraits in town and along the water front. But I'll give that session its own post soon!
