{Gattlin} Newborn Photography - Creswell, Oregon

Gattlin was supposed to be one of the youngest little guys I have photographed, but he was a little early, and when we scheduled the session my little guy had a fever :( I don't mess around when it comes to teeny tiny newborns. SO! We rescheduled to the following Sunday, and he was still only 10 days old - still in that magic window when they are still super sleepy and squishy. It also happened to be Mother's day, and his due date I believe, so we had a  great time all around!

He was a fabulous little model.

And put up with a lot of our prop ideas... Gattlin comes from big Rodeo family, and when I found this box in my garage (it came with the house!!) I knew it it would be perfect for his shoot.  The quilt is his mamas from when she was a baby :)

Thank you so much to his Mama and Daddy for having me over to capture this time.  It goes by SO fast. I always thought that was such a cliche, but I'm living it now.  It seems like yesterday that Luke was this sweet and little. Now a little more than a year later we just got him his first haircut and he's only a few days away from running...ugh! I love being able to capture new ones in these first few days. Its an honor and a pleasure to be a part of it.

{Kayla and Justin} Wedding: Coos Bay, Oregon

It was a beautiful afternoon (read: not raining! yay!) in Coos Bay for Kayla and Justin to exchange their vows.  The little church off Ocean Blvd was sweet and was filled to the brim with their family and friends - from as far away as Florida!!

Kayla was a stunning bride!

It was my first time shooting at the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, it was a beautiful facility and the food was wonderful as well!

{Giving Back} Cardas Photography May Food Drive

May is my birthday month!! Call me immature, but I still love my birthday - and everyone else's, cursing the day you arrived on this earth seems negative to me :) But - I don't need a thing, ok, maybe the Candy Apple Red Kitchen Aid Stand mixer... but I digress...

For the rest of the month of May I am hosting a canned food drive. With the economy the way it has been for so long, the demand at food banks continues to be great. While collection efforts tend to be strong around the Winter holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, the need remains throughout the rest of the year. I would like to do my part to help during the Summer months.

 

For the rest of the month of May I will donate a can of food for each of the following:
