{Hawkins + Simone} Wedding - Corvallis, Oregon

Simone and Hawkins were married on the hottest day of the year - but you would never be able to tell!  The weather may have been warm (ok HOT!!) but their friends and family came together for what can only be described as a celebration!  Everyone contributed!  From the flowers, to the food and drinks to the entertainment - this was a truly talented group!

I started the day with Simone in the barn on her parents property. Simone had gone all out to decorate it and make it a beautiful place for her and her bridesmaids to get ready.

Simone spent the day barefoot but got a ride to the ceremony site from her dad!

{Lasann + Jon} Wedding - Ogren Gardens, Eugene Oregon

Jon and Lasann were married at a new venue for me - Ogren Gardens in Northwest Eugene. Tucked away at the end of a residential road, this is truly a special place!  Lasann got ready inside the barn - there was so much cool stuff to look at!  I loved the feel of it!

 

 

We all braved an enormous amount of spiders to shoot here...

For their first dance, Lasann and Jon did the Hustle!

 

This might be my new favorite ring shot! One of their first dates was out to dinner at McMenamins, which of course has the best tater tots on earth... so they served spicy tater tots to their guests as an appetizer!

{Holly and Sever} Wedding - McMenamins Sand Trap, Gearhart Oregon

It was a typical day on the coast for Holly and Severs wedding at McMenamins Sand Trap. But, like I told Holly, overcast and cool is preferable to 100+ degrees when you are wearing 20lbs of fabric! :)

 

The Sand Trap is a beautiful golf course, so of course we had to take advantage of the availability of golf carts!!

 

The benefit of holding your wedding at a McMenamins...

Holly was escorted down the aisle by not only her father, but a bagpiper (bag pipeist? lol) as well!

A little wind = great veil action!

{Melinda and Aaron} Wedding - Flinn Block Hall, Albany Oregon

It doesn't happen a lot, but occasionally I meet the couple for the first time on their wedding day! Melinda and I did all the question answering, booking and planning over email. She and Aaron came back to their hometown of Albany from their current home in Kentucky.  This was my first time shooting in the newly remodeled Flinn Block Hall - and it was amazing!! Such beautiful light in every room, even the getting ready rooms!!

 

 

 

One of my favorite parts of the "first look" is the preening the girls always do to their grooms! :)

 

The couple was lucky enough to be able to borrow a friends awesome vintage Mercedes for some pictures at Monteith park.

These two know how to have a good time, that's for sure!!

{Family} Coquille Oregon Family Portraits

A few Fridays ago I was invited to photograph a family reunion.  The Dyer family is four generations strong and they were all joined together for a family picnic at Sturdivant park in Coquille. 

A quick hug for his great grandma before we got started.
