Upstairs Downtown (and underneath) Albany
The upstairs Downtown tour was as cool as ever this year! We got there late because I had a heck of a time getting around some bad traffic on I-5. But we made it - we got to tour the upstairs of The Flynn Block - it has been a dinner theater for years, but they are doing some major renovations and it will be a very cool wedding venue site! This is the inside of the other side of the building - it used to be apartments, but they are transforming it and hopefully it will be really cool offices soon! I can totally see having an office up here!
Then we walked down First street.

And then back up Second Street to the "No garbage Books" store. I had never been inside - who knew all that coolness was in the basement!!! Did you know it used to be the city jail?
And finally we got to visit the loft belonging to David Reece. David opens up his home every year for the tour. It really is an amazing place. It looks straight out of New York City - definitely a labor of love!! Click the picture to view larger. It is an amazing space!
