Rachel is another one of our beautiful 2009 Cranberry Festival Court members! We met up at the park in Bandon to shoot her Senior pictures. Its been so nice to meet and get to know all of these great kids - I always wanted to be a princess, but I am glad I am at least able to participate in the festival in this way!

Last Sunday was a stormy and rainy day as per usual in Oregon these days! I was a little worried about our session as I headed down from Portland to Corvallis to shoot Holly and Sever's Engagement session at Oregon State University. Holly had been planning this day around Sever's schedule, as he spends a lot of time working in Alaska. Finally home in Oregon for a bit - we jumped at the chance to meet up for their session - a little rain wasn't going to get us down! However, it held off, for exactly that hour!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Andrea and Michael! We started off the *very* wet day at Mt Tabor Presbyterian Church.

Andrea and Michael chose not to see each other before the wedding, I was lucky enough to have Jeanine as my second shooter for the day - I will be sure to add her pics to the final set when I have them in! She rocked it out with the guys while I hung out with the ladies :)
I think Tyra would be proud of the "fierce" look Andrea was bringing!

After the ceremony we headed down to the reception at the Melody Ballroom

I LOVE when brides and grooms come back to me to capture their new families! You may recognize Desiree and Jeremy, from their 2006 wedding - they are my "poster children" and are featured in one of my sample wedding albums because I loved their wedding SO much!
River is such an adorable little one and they were such a cute family together!

Today we will be capturing the special day of Andrea and Michael!
A few weeks ago, I met up with Gina from Beach Loop Realty to capture some fun and different Headshots for her Realty marketing materials. I just loved how they turned out - you can check out more here - Gina's Realtor Headshots.
What I really love though, is when I get to see how the photos I have taken end up being used in the real world! I love getting personalized wedding invitations, High School Senior Graduation announcements and thank you cards from my clients! :) I think Debbie at Florida Marketing Design did a great job capturing what Gina was looking for in her new marketing materials in a fun, relaxed, but still very professional way!
The day I was to meet with Lasann and Jon, was the first day I was back from Nashville, on my way home from the airport! It was pouring rain, dreary and dark as I drove from Portland to Eugene. I was so sure that it was going to rain for the shoot, that I even stopped by the store and bought a super cute umbrella! But after I ate lunch and made my way to Alton Baker Park, the skies cleared and the sun came out just in time!! I love when that happens.
I think the rain washed the dust off the leaves perfectly! :)
Jon had an idea as to where the next shots should be taken...
Lasann and I thought in *front* of the fountain would be more appropriate!

Oh I just love babies! Especially when they are teeny tiny and new! Karsyn made her debut a little early - but you can tell mom and dad couldn't be happier to have her here! Liz and I were sorority sisters at OSU (too many years ago, lol) and its so great to see her in her new role as the Mama :)
Big brother seems to be adjusting well!

This was one of the most exciting weddings I have had the pleasure to be a part of. Morgan and Sheila met just barely six months ago, when Morgan moved from Oregon to Nashville to chase his dream as a singer/songwriter. When they came to Bandon for their engagement session, I could tell that they are a fantastic match!
I don't usually get to hang out with the guys for very long, but they hustled to get ready so we could spend more time exploring downtown Nashville for their photo session!
Only Morgan can walk into a bar, and end up on stage singing with the band within 10 seconds! lol
Morgan and Dave had no problem with the "serious" look:
Josh on the other hand, needed some more practice!
Dave did double duty as a groomsman and the cake baker!
The brides mom made Sheila's amazing dress, and it was still getting touch-ups when I joined the girls
Sheila didn't want just a cake, she wanted donuts!!
Their ceremony was different than any I had seen before. The reverend had the bridal party sit down while he had a personal talk with them about marriage - it was very nice!
MARRIED!
After the ceremony we headed outside for some portraits with the bridal party.
And *this* would be why I send the boys back to the party as soon as possible...
The couple pushed through well however!
The first "Donut feeding" I've seen :)
Then the dancing was on! The couple announced to their guests that they intended to dance to 85% of the songs! And I think they did it too!
An amazing day for an amazing couple. Thank you so much for having us out to Tennessee to capture your day!
